The mission of  Live  Wire Children's Ministry is to cultivate the lives of children into a loving and serving relationship with Jesus Christ.

We strive to do this by loving our community, transforming lives, and serving Christ.  Our passion and desire is to love God and love people.

Proverbs 22:6

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

"Ministry to children is the single most strategic ministry in God's Kingdom

If people do not embrace Jesus Christ as their Savior before they reach their teenage years, the chance of their doing so at all is slim"

(George Barna~ Transforming Children into Spiritual Champions.)

This quote from George Barna hangs on my wall in my office, surrounded by faces of many of the children in our Live Wire Children's Ministry.  When I become discouraged or overwhelmed, I look to my left and see smiling faces of the children who need the Love of Christ.  They not only need our love but they need our prayers.  Sometimes I believe we may be the only people in their lives who pray for them on a consistent basis, and because of that, we are held to a greater responsibility.

Through our home Bible studies, we are studying about becoming a praying church.  I hope that whether you are involved in one or not, you will be sensitive to the Lord's call to prayer.  I challenge you to pray for our children's ministry; it's leaders, volunteers, van and bus drivers.  Pray that God will allow us to teach like Jesus and to love like Jesus.  Pray that we will develop children into men and women who seek the face of God.  We must cover these children with prayer!  Please consider partnering with us in this endeavor.  If you would like information on a child to pray for, please call the church office and I will be happy to mail you a card with a photo and information about that child.

Thank you for your continued Support!

love, grace, peace.

THE RESURRECTION STORY

AND

EASTER EGG HUNT

Easter baskets, bunnies, eggs and choclate~~that's what Easter is about, right?  Well, NO, but that's what many children believe to be true about the reason for Easter.  We as Christians know that we celebrate Easter because of our risen Savior who shed His blood on the cross, was buried for three days and rose from the dead on that third day. We know that we serve a risen Christ who loves us so much that He suffered and died.  But there are many children who do not know this truth.  We are blessed that we have been able to minister to the children in our program about who Jesus is, but still there are those who do not know this truth.

This year, on April 3rd, we are having our annual Easter egg hunt.  Rather than beginning with the hunt like before, we will share a time together telling the Resurrection Story prior to any of the activities.  We want to make sure that anyone who steps food on our Christ Wesleyan Church campus that afternoon, will hear about Jesus and the gift of salvation and  the opportunity to make a life decision to accept Him.  I'm asking us to cover this day in prayer.  I want this day to be different than in the past years of simply searching for eggs.  I pray that parents come searching for something, too, and that we can show them the truth.  I think about how children search and search to find those special eggs filled with bits of candy and how excited they get when they go home with a basket full.  Just think if the parents come searching for the truth and find it!  WOW!  What a change their family will make.  Instead of a basketfull of eggs, they take home a life full of joy found in our Savior.  Cover this day in prayer that we can share the love of Christ with our community.

I INVITE YOU!

Come out at noon on Saturday, April 3rd, to hear the Resurrection story again, buy a hot dog to support our building fund, enjoy some music and watch as our children and the children we want to reach , search for some eggs.

Come.  Enjoy.  Engage and Love.
